Couch to 5K, 6 Week Programme

Description
Would you like running to be a part of your life? Want to get to the point where you enjoy it or even look forward to it?? That is the goal of this program - we're going to train for a 5K together 💪
This is a 6 week programme, aimed at following a couch to 5K with your fellow mums. Some of us have had the running bug but lost it, others have never been runners but together we have a common goal of learning how to cover a 5K distance and who knows maybe you'll want to complete a Parkrun together at the end (that's our plan 😊).
This plan is entry level, building up the distance each week. The Couch to 5K programme is designed to include 2 sessions each week, there will be one in person session along with additional training to do at home.
This is a 6 week course, running every Monday and Sunday (you can attend one, or both days):
The Monday run will follow the Monday walk, therefore will change each week.
And Sunday is Sankey Valley - the Cromwell Avenue South car park (opposite David Lloyd)

Your health and recovery are our top priorities. If you have recently given birth, please ensure you have had your 6- to 8-week postnatal check (or 12 weeks for a C-section or complicated birth) and have been cleared by your healthcare provider before joining this programme.
Postpartum recovery looks different for everyone, and we encourage you to listen to your body, go at your own pace, and take breaks as needed. If you experience any discomfort, pain, dizziness, or unusual symptoms during exercise, please stop and seek medical advice.
By attending, you confirm that you are participating at your own risk and that Walking Mums cannot be held responsible for any injuries or health concerns that may arise.
Please note that we are following a structured programme designed to gradually build fitness and confidence. We are not providing professional coaching, medical advice, or tailored training plans.
We’re here to support you on this journey - let’s get moving together in a safe and enjoyable way!
